What is included if i book Balfreish Barns as my wedding venue?

The minimum package is the hire of the venue, i.e. the Barns and access to the majority of the gardens. This also includes portable wedding toilet hire. Additional props will be available if desired, i.e., 1 large and 2 small whisky barrels,milk churns, fridges, buckets for iced beers and wine, water jugs,rustic arch, decorated jars for flowers, tree trunk cuts and other small oddities

Is there a bus charter available?

bus charters are available from Inverness as well as Limo hire, mini bus hire and taxis based either in Inverness or Nairn

Is there room for a dance floor? Do we need to put down flooring?

There is room for a dancing in the Long Barn if some of the tables from the meal are pushed back.

Is there accomodation nearby for our guests?

There is a variety of accomodation nearby, self catering or B and B. There are also lots of bigger guests houses and hotels in both Inverness and Nairn

Can we supply our own alcohol and food or caterers?

Yes!

Where are the bathroom facilities for guests?

bathroom facilities at the present are portable wedding toilets.

Are children permitted at Balfreish Barns?

Yes but there are two unfenced ponds in the garden so young children would need to be under adult supervision at all times

How many guests does Balfreish allow?

Maximum number of guests for seated meal in the Long Barn would be 70 to 90.

Are camping and caravans allowed?

No

Can we have rose petals, rice, confetti etc?

Rose petals and biodegradable confetti yes,rice no.

Can we bring our pets?

If there is a special pet that you would like to be part of the ceremony then we would be pleased to discuss, otherwise no.

Do we need to organise cleaning?

You can either do the cleaning up yourselves or we do offer a cleaning service at additional cost

Can someone set up the wedding decorations, table settings etc?

This is not part of the initial package but can be arranged at an additional cost.

What time must our guests finish?

Music to finish before 12 midnight. Last taxis to leave by 1am
