In 2015 our son and now daughter-in-law, who live in Australia, were making their wedding plans but were struggling to find a venue in the UK that would offer them a blank canvas to allow them to design and decorate as they wished and to choose the suppliers of their choice. Without really thinking of the consequences we said, “well why not have it at Balfreish”. And so it began!

In July 2016 the wedding was held, the sun shone and everyone had a great time. So much so that family and friends thought we should offer the venue to other couples who are looking for something just a wee bit different and that’s where we are now.

Balfreish Barns are rustic but have so much charm. The venue can be decorated with a few lights, or many more, flowers can be in abundance or just some simple jam jars filled with seasonal blooms. You can choose your own caterers, your own music, run the bar yourselves or employ someone of your choosing. The options are endless. Why not book a viewing and see for yourselves!
